KATHMANDU: Dr. Chandra Bhandari, Nepali Congress leader and member of the House of Representatives, is healing from a burn on his face.

The skin on the face is healing after being burned in a fire caused by a ‘gas leak’ in a private residence in Buddhanagar on Feb 15.

Dr. Bhandari’s brother, Meen Prasad Bhandari, reported that his brother’s health is improving and his skin on his face is improving while he is being treated at the National Burn Center in Mumbai, India. “Dr. Bhandari is undergoing physiotherapy, the grafted skin is responding well, and his health is improving,” Dr. Bhandari’s brother Meen Prasad explained.

He stated that the doctor advised that no immediate surgery was required as all of his health parameters were normal.

The hospital administration has strictly prohibited visitors in order to control the infection.

Today is the Bhandari’s 31st day of hospitalization.
