Surkhet kidney transplant patient discharged from hospital
After a successful kidney transplant at Karnali State Hospital on Saturday, Surkhet State Hospital has begun performing kidney transplants, which were previously only performed in Kathmandu and Pokhara.
SURKHET: The patient who underwent the first kidney transplant at Karnali State Hospital Surkhet has been released from the hospital. After 5 days, the patient who had a kidney transplant on Saturday returned home.
After a successful kidney transplant at Karnali State Hospital on Saturday, Surkhet State Hospital has begun performing kidney transplants, which were previously only performed in Kathmandu and Pokhara.
A 43-year-old mother from Bardghat Municipality 4, Nawalparasi district, received a kidney from a team of expert doctors from the Shaheed Dharma Bhakta National Transplantation Center on Feb 4 at the Karnali State Hospital. A successful kidney transplant was also performed on the same day.
The patient was discharged from the hospital today, 5 days after the transplant. Dr. Dambar Khadka, director of Karnali State Hospital, stated that, in addition to the successful kidney transplant, both the patient and the donor are in good health.
The patient, who was returning home today after a successful kidney transplant, said that he was happy with the hospital’s services. He said – ‘I really liked the management of the hospital and the behavior of the health workers.
The service of the state hospital seemed like the service provided by a large hospital. Similarly, the patient’s father also said that he was very happy with the hospital’s services.
He claims to have visited many hospitals in the country and that the cleanliness of this hospital is excellent, as is the behavior of the health workers. He stated that the cleanliness of the hospital is the most important factor.
