ISLAMABAD: A bomb went off in Pakistan’s southwest Quetta city of Balochistan province on Sunday, leaving at least five people injured, police officers said.

The explosion happened near a check post in the Police Lines area in Quetta, the provincial capital of Balochistan, police in Quetta told media.

A heavy contingent of police and rescue teams reached the area after the blast and shifted the wounded to a nearby hospital, where at least one person is said to be in critical condition.
