Minister Giri’s directive to DDA not to play with people’s health
He also stated that the ministry will provide full support to the department in order for it to perform effectively.
KATHMANDU: Padam Giri, Minister of Health and Population, has directed the Department of Drug Administration (DDA) to take citizens’ health seriously.
Minister Giri instructed in the program organized following the department’s monitoring on Tuesday not to play with the issue of citizens’ health under any pretext of manpower or infrastructure and to perform the performance seriously.
He also stated that the ministry will provide full support to the department in order for it to perform effectively.
Similarly, Minister Giri believes that because of the open border, medicines imported from India are being openly sold and distributed, and that surveillance should be increased.
He stated that there is a problem as the monitoring of medicine sales and distribution is ineffective, and that we should proceed by establishing offices in all states.
Minister Giri also stated that the medicine department’s capacity should be increased and work should be done in such a way that even the poorest citizens feel relieved.
