KATHMANDU: Rabi Lamichhane, Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister, case has been kept on the watch list after the hearing on the citizenship dispute case was not completed.

On Wednesday, the advocates debated for the party that filed the case in the Supreme Court regarding Lamichhane’s citizenship dispute.

They claimed that Rabi obtained an American green card by swearing that he was not responsible for the nationality of any other country, but that after surrendering the green card, he did not apply for Nepali citizenship.

Against this argument, on behalf of Rabi, who is the opponent in the case, there will be a counter-argument on Friday.

They will present the argument that Rabi is a Nepali citizen. It is likely that the court’s decision will come on Friday itself after the debate is over.
