Deputy Speaker election in Gandaki today, who are the competitors?

POKHARA: Deputy Speaker will be elected today in Gandaki.

The State Assembly meeting has been scheduled for 1 p.m. for this purpose. The alliance granted UML the position of deputy speaker.

Bina Thapa of Baglung has been chosen as a candidate by the UML.

The main opposition party, Nepali Congress, will also choose a candidate. The Congress Party has decided to run Parbati Tamang of Lamjung as a candidate.

The alliance holds 33 seats, while the opposition party Congress holds 27.

Krishna Dhital was chosen by the Maoists, who secured the Speaker’s support in the alliance.
