POKHARA: Seventy-Two people died in the plane crash of Yeti Airlines in Pokhara on Sunday morning.

The plane was carrying 53 Nepalese and 15 foreign nationals, including two South Koreans.

Yu Yongchoel, 45, and his 14-year-old son Yu Xiangyang arrived in Nepal on Sunday morning. They got off Kathmandu by Air India plane at 9 am and flew to Pokhara soon after.

They took off for Pokhara at 10:32 a.m. on a Yeti Airlines ATR-72 plane, but they were unable to land at the airport.

The plane they were in went down in Seti Gorge. Father and son were both killed in a crash.
