KATHMANDU: The Melamchi Water Supply Development Committee has issued a warning to Melamchi riverbank residents to be cautious.

The committee informed the public on Monday that since the Melamchi water diversion work began on Monday, the flow of water in the Melamchi river may increase/decrease during the water diversion.

Caution has been requested due to the possibility of water falling from the tunnel entry routes Sindhu, Galathum, and Ambathan at any time.

The notice has requested that special precautions be taken when going fishing, grazing, farming, or doing any other work.

Melamchi’s water diversion work, which had been halted since the second week of May, has resumed as of Monday.
