Votes counts in three districts remains

KATHMANDU: The counting of votes in three constituencies of three districts for the House of Representatives and State Assembly elections held last Sunday is still ongoing.

The Election Commission’s spokesperson, Shaligram Sharma Paudel, stated that the three constituencies of Bajura, Syangja, and Dolakha have yet to be counted.

He stated that there was some delay in the counting of votes in those constituencies because investigations were being conducted to resolve the election-related questions. Votes are currently being counted in 162 of the 165 constituencies.

According to the commission, the results of 53 places have been announced so far.

According to the statistics entered in the Commission’s system, Nepali Congress won 19, CPN UML 12, CPN Maoist Center 6, CPN (Unified Socialists) 4, Rastriya Prajatantra Party 3 and other parties and candidates won 8 places.
