Voters & supporters celebrated Toshima’s victory (photos included)

KATHMANDU: Toshima Karki, a Rastriya Swatantra Party candidate who was elected to the House of Representatives from Lalitpur Constituency No. 3, said she felt more responsibility than victory.

‘This is not a victory, but an important responsibility,’ she told voters and supporters on Thursday. The path of accountability has begun. I intend to begin establishing good governance and the conditions that the people desire.’

She has promised not to let the people’s hope turn to disappointment or their faith be destroyed.
