KATHMANDU: People have been asked to be safe and alert in areas prone to floods and landslides due to the incessant rains that have been falling for a few days.

In the morning, there was heavy rain in Gorkha, Dhading, Lamjung, Tanahun, Palpa, Syangja, Nawalparasi, Kapilvastu, Dang, Pyuthan, Dailekh, Surkhet, Kailali, Kanchanpur and some places around and more. It has been requested to remain vigilant until noon.

Similarly, the Center reported that heavy rain had fallen in various parts of the Bheri watershed, raising the water level to the alert/danger level.

As more rain is expected in the Bheri catchment area, the center has requested that everyone from the Bheri river basin to the Karnali Dobhan be on high alert for the next 6 hours.

Similarly, there has been heavy rain in many places in Kanchanpur, Kailali, and elsewhere in the last three hours as of 5 a.m., and the center has requested that residents be alert until 12 p.m. in areas where hotcha is inundated due to the possibility of sudden floods in the small rivers of Khutia, Kandra, Mohana, Suheli, Chaudhar, and others.
