KATHMANDU: The meeting of the five-party alliance is also being held today for the allocation of seats.

After the meeting held on Monday was also inconclusive, the meeting is going to be held again today.

According to Durga Paudel, leader of Rastriya Janamorcha, an internal meeting will be held early in the morning and a meeting will be held between the top leaders of the five parties at 11 o’clock. He said that there was no concrete progress in allocating seats till Monday evening.

The parties are preparing to make the final decision from today’s meeting. It has been two months since Oct 6 that the ruling five-party alliance formed an 11-member task force for seat distribution. On August 5, a working group was formed under the leadership of Congress leader Krishna Prasad Sitaula for seat distribution.

At that time, it was said that the seat distribution would be decided by the end of Shrawan (July/August), but even after two months, the alliance has not been able to agree on the share.
