Yanqi’s tenure ended, returning China next month

KATHMANDU: Hou Yanqi, the Chinese Ambassador to Nepal, will return to China next month.

After completing her four-year term, she will return to China next month.

The Chinese government is preparing to promote Ambassador Hou and send her to the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) region as an ambassador.

The Chinese government has not yet decided who will be the next ambassador to Nepal, despite the return of Ambassador Hou.

Yanqi arrived in Nepal as the Chinese ambassador in December 2018. This month, she will bid farewell to the president, prime minister, and top political party leaders.
