16 people arrested from bus park & Koteshwor for charging high fare
All those arrested have been detained at the police stations in Koteshwor and Gongabu.
KATHMANDU: During the festival, 16 people were arrested for attempting to charge passengers more than the prescribed fare.
They were arrested in the morning from Koteshwor and Naya Bus Park in Kathmandu, according to traffic police.

The Valley Traffic Police Office Ramshahpath team arrested 8 people from Kateshwor and 8 people from Naya Bus Park this morning.
Throughout the festival, police have arrested people for a variety of reasons, including torturing passengers unnecessarily, charging more than the specified fare, and failing to provide the specified seat on the ticket.
The arrestees are ready to conduct the necessary investigations and take appropriate action under the law.
