World Tourism Day: Mini road festival being held in Pokhara

POKHARA: The 27th of September is World Tourism Day.

Pokhara is celebrating Tourism Day with a special program today. Today is a one-day mini-street festival at Pokhara’s lakeside.

Pokhara will mark the 43rd Tourism Day with a variety of events organized by the Ministry of Tourism, Industry, Commerce, and Supply Gandaki State, Nepal Tourism Board Gandaki Province, and Pokhara Tourism Council.

According to Pom Narayan Shrestha, Chairperson of the Pokhara Tourism Council, there is a program in place to greet tourists arriving by boat in Pokhara today with flower garlands.

Similarly, tourists arriving from the under-construction international airport will be welcomed for observation, interaction, and tourist buses, he said.
