She claims that a man from Dhanusha raped her by giving her drugs when she was 17 years old. She demands that action be taken against that individual.
She was apprehended by police after attempting self-immolation in front of the presidential office by spraying gasoline on her body. On Friday afternoon, she reached at Sheetal Niwas for a sit-in protest but was arrested by police.
She previously went on a long hunger strike in Basantpur and Maitighar as she did not receive justice. Niharika was arrested by the police from the south gate of Singha Durbar on Aug 5.
Niharika broke her hunger strike after agreeing on 5 points with the government. But after that agreement was not followed, she said that she had to come to the streets again.
