KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has stated that all state agencies must work together to eliminate educational unemployment among the country’s youth.

On the occasion of International Youth Day, Prime Minister Deuba stated in a program organized by the National Youth Council in Kathmandu on Friday that the youth council has been tasked with developing and implementing action plans for youth-centered activities from the government level.

He believed that youth participation in the development of youth entrepreneurship and the promotion of youth employment should be increased. He also stated that the youth must learn and acquire useful life skills in order to earn a living in their own country.

He stated that the government has been working in various fields to promote entrepreneurship and youth employment and that it will be made more effective.

Youth and Sports Minister Maheshwor Gahatraj stated during the program that it is up to the youth to lead the country toward development and prosperity. He stated that there is a need today to transform the country into a prosperous country in the world and that the country’s resources and means should be utilized to the greatest extent possible.

Intergenerational solidarity: International Youth Day is observed under the banner of a shared commitment to creating a world that is welcoming to people of all ages.

Every year on August 12th, International Youth Day is observed to address the issues and concerns of youth.
