KATHMANDU: The Election Commission will begin updating the voter list on August 28. The Election Commission has called for updating the voter list and protesting claims in order to elect members of the House of Representatives (HoR) and the State Assembly.

According to Shaligram Sharma Paudel, the Commission’s spokesperson, the program will take place from August 28 to September 4, including a protest against the updating of the voter list.

Correcting the error in the list during that period, filing a complaint against it if someone has included a name in the list with false information, filing an application to remove it if there is a duplicate list, filing an application to remove it if a member of the same family has died, and filing an application to remove it if a member of the same family has died, in the case of two or more polling stations in the same ward, at the polling station A name change application can be made.

To update the list, the Commission has made arrangements for applications to be submitted via e-mail, fax, and online.

After the voter list update program is completed, the final voter list for the election of members of the House of Representatives and members of the State Assembly will be published on September 16.
