Prachanda visiting India, such is the tour schedule

KATHMANDU: Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda,’ the chairperson of the CPN-Maoist Center, is leaving for India today. He is going at the invitation of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) chairperson J. P. Nadda.

Prachanda will meet with BJP chairperson J. P. Nadda at the BJP headquarters while in India. Top leaders, including BJP foreign affairs chief Vijay Chauthaiwale, will be in attendance. Prachanda and India’s National Security Adviser Ajit Doval are also scheduled to meet during his three-day visit to India.

Prachanda is also scheduled to meet with Dr. S. Jaishankar, India’s Foreign Minister, and Foreign Secretary Vinay Mohan Kwatra. The meeting with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is still tentative. During his visit to Delhi, Prachanda is expected to be a keynote speaker at a seminar.

The Nepali Embassy in Delhi will host a dinner in honor of Prachanda. Chairperson Prachanda will return home on Sunday, July 17.
