KATHMANDU: Machhapuchchhre Bank has handed over a counting machine to the renowned Halesi Temple in Halesi Tuwachung Municipality of Khotang under its corporate social responsibility.

Santosh Koirala, Chief Executive Officer of Machhapuchhre Bank, handed over the machine in the presence of Chief Guest Bimala Rai and Deputy Chief of Halesi Tuwachung Municipality Ramesh Kumar Raut at a special function held on Saturday at the famous Halesi Temple in Halesi Tuwachung.

Despite the fact that hundreds of devotees visit the renowned Halesi temple every day, the bank has handed over a machine to count the number of devotees as, due to a lack of machines, the temple does not have data on the number of visitors per day.

As the CCTV camera is connected to the machine provided by the bank, the machine is expected to count the number of devotees as well as help with temple security.

The bank has handed over the machine to the temple in order to protect and promote the renowned Halesi Temple, which is a popular destination for domestic tourists.
