KATHMANDU: Kamana Sewa Bikas Bank has launched a branchless banking service in new locations via a mobile app, with the goal of providing cutting-edge banking services.

On Friday, the bank launched a branchless banking service in Amaura, Janaki Rural Municipality-5, Kailali district.

Ram Chaudhary Readymade Garment Industry (Prof. Ram Chaudhary) of Amaura in Janaki Rural Municipality-5 has been appointed as the business representative for the branchless banking operation.

Bhim Bahadur Chaudhary, Ward 5 Chairperson, officially launched the branchless banking service. Other attendees included ward 5 representatives, business representatives, local dignitaries, and bank employees.

Branchless banking will provide services such as account opening, deposit collection, payment, various bill payments, and so on.

According to the bank, this service will increase trust in the bank and the banking concept in rural and non-banking areas.
