Nepal loses 7-0 to Indonesia

KATHMANDU: Nepal was humiliated by Indonesia in the final match of the third round of AFC Asian Cup qualifiers. Nepal was defeated 7-0 by Indonesia last night at the Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium in Kuwait.
Throughout the game, Indonesia put pressure to Nepal, which was included in the 10-man squad. Nepal scored five goals in the second half after conceding two in the first. Nepal fell for the third time in a row, dropping to the bottom of Group A.
Nepal lost the first match 2-0 to Jordan and the second match 4-1 to Kuwait. Jordan won Group A with nine points and qualified for the Asian Cup. Indonesia with 6 points was second and Kuwait with 3 points was third.
According to the AFC, the top team in the group and the top five runners-up will be selected for the 2023 Asian Cup in China.
