Balen Shah monitoring the dumping site

KATHMANDU: MAY. 28 – Balendra Shah (Balen), the newly elected Mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City, inspected the dumping sites of Okharpauwa, Sisdol, and Banchare Danda in Nuwakot yesterday.

Mayor Shah stated that he will not celebrate victory or give interviews until the garbage problem is resolved.

According to the tally on Thursday, Shah won the mayoral post with 61,767 votes.

Likewise, Congress mayoral candidate Sirjana Singh secured 38,341 votes. Keshav Sthapit of the UML polled 38,117 votes.
