KATHMANDU: MAY 23 – Nepal recorded a total of 10 new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours as of Monday.

The RT-PCR method detected eight of the confirmed cases and the Antigen method detected two.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population the last 24 hours, a total of 2,768 swab samples were tested. Of these, 2,233 were tested using RT-PCR and 535 using the Antigen method.

On Monday, no COVID-related deaths were reported.

To date, the country’s COVID-19 death toll stands at 11,952.

There are currently 133 active cases in the country, with 16 infected patients recovering in the last 24 hours.
