Nabil Bank signs an agreement with Nepal Office of Investment Board

KATHMANDU: MAY. 19 – Nabil Bank has formed a partnership with the Office of Investment Board Nepal to promote foreign direct investment and foster economic development in Nepal.

Under this agreement, Nabil Bank has partnered with the Office of Investment Board Nepal (OIBN) to provide foreign investors with advisory services and to promote foreign direct investment through the organization and participation in various promotional programs highlighting investment opportunities in Nepal.

During a signing ceremony held today, Mr. Anil Keshary Shah, Chief Executive Officer of Nabil Bank, and Mr. Sushil Bhatta, Chief Executive Officer of Investment Board Nepal, signed the MoU.

According to Mr. Bhatta, banking plays a vital role is in attracting foreign investments, which is why OIBN has partnered with Nabil Bank for the first time. Mr. Upendra Prasad Poudyal, Chairperson of Nabil Bank, emphasized the bank’s emphasis on building a sustainable nation as well as sustainable banking.

Similarly, Mr. Shah stated that Nabil Bank is honoured to serve as the official financial advisor to such a prestigious institution as the Office of Investment Board Nepal.

This collaboration reflects Nabil Bank and OIBN’s shared commitment to jointly promote Nepal’s economic development by attracting foreign investors and bridging the country’s gaps in sustainable resources to develop infrastructure projects, greenfield avenues, energy sector promotion, and green financing, among other things.
