Three nabbed along with leopard skin

SURKHET: APRIL. 27 – Three people were nabbed in Surkhet’s Birendranagar with illegal leopard skin. Surkhet District Police Office made the arrest at Birendranagar-10 Bus Park around 2 p.m. on Wednesday.

They were nabbed by police from room 4 on the second floor of the Sunita Hotel and Lodge in Bus Park.

Dal Bahadur Budha, 40, of Birendranagar-12, a resident of Jumla’s Sinja Rural Municipality-8, Bharat Bahadur Budha, 41, of Birendranagar-14, and Amar Bahadur Thapa, 23, are among those arrested.

They were found sitting in suspicious condition, and while searching the body and hotel room, police found a leopard skin 9 feet long from head to tail inside the zebra bag on the table in the room, according to police.

According to the police, they are preparing to send them to the Division Forest office for further action.

Dal Bahadur Budha, according to police, brought the illegal leopard skin from Jumla’s Sinja Rural Municipality to Birendranagar just this morning (Wednesday).
