Congress nominated Hemkarna in Itahari & Kishor in Dharan

BIRATNAGAR: APRIL. 25 – Hemkarna Poudel and Kishor Rai have been nominated for the post of mayor of Itahari and Dharan respectively.

Rai and Hemkarna will contest in Dharan and Itahari respectively.

Hemkarna Poudel is the president of Itahari Nagar Nepali Congress while Kishor Rai is the leader who has been defeated as a candidate for the post of president. Even before this, Hemkarna Poudel was aspiring for mayor.

In the previous state assembly election, Poudel was defeated by Sarvadhwaj Sawa. Poudel, who has been the president of NC Itahari for three terms, is considered close to senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel. Kishor Rai of Dharan was aspiring for mayor for the first time.

Kishor, who came to politics from the football field, is the leader of Deuba’s party. Similarly, the party has decided to field Kedar Bhandari in Inaruwa of Sunsari, Sudip Adhikari in Ramdhuni, Ved Gachchhadar in Duhabi and Ramesh Karki in Barahakshetra.
