Health Minister launches Typhoid vaccination

HETAUDA: APRIL. 9 – Minister of Health Birodh Khatiwada has directed all stakeholders to effectively complete the nationwide typhoid vaccination campaign.

He advised parents to bring their children to the vaccination campaign today at Bhojshiddha Secondary School in Manhari Rural Municipality Ward No. 5 in Makawanpur, saying that the vaccine is absolutely safe.

Minister Khatiwada stated that the vaccination program, which began today, will be carried out across the country until May 1st, and that about 7.5 million children aged 15 months to 15 years will be vaccinated.

He claimed that more than 50,000 vaccination centers, as well as the requisite vaccine, skilled human resources, and volunteers, were managed around the country for the vaccination.

The goal is to vaccinate 80% of the students in the school and the other 20% at the community health center.
