88 percent of infected patients had Omicron variant in Nepal

KATHMANDU: JAN. 24 – According to the Ministry of Health and Population, Omicron is found in 88 per cent of confirmed COVID-19 infections in Nepal.

Dr. Manmohan Singh, a co-spokesperson for the Ministry of Health and Population, confirmed the Omicron variant in 28 samples and the Delta variant in four samples. Sameer Kumar Adhikari has been notified.

According to him, Omicron was confirmed in 88% of those who tested positive for the S gene. In Nepal, as in other nations, the Omicron variant has superseded Delta, according to Dr Adhikari.
