KATHMANDU: JAN. 19 – In 78 hospitals, the government is providing free treatment to COVID-19 patients. By operating COVID-19 care units at 78 hospitals within its authority, the Ministry of Health and Population has provided free treatment to infected patients.

These hospitals include district hospitals, state hospitals and central hospitals. The patient must be proven to have COVID-19 in order to get free treatment in a government-designated hospital or isolation center.

The Ministry of Health recently decided to provide free treatment to infected people who seek treatment at government-designated hospitals. According to Sameer Kumar Adhikari.” People who have been confirmed infected can get free isolation services, while some people have to go to the hospital due to some health complications,” he said.

If the number of infected people grows in government hospitals, free treatment will be provided in the private sector as well.” In case of shortage of government hospitals, the Ministry of Health will make arrangements with other private hospitals for free,” the spokesperson said.
