KATHMANDU: JAN. 18 – The Supreme Court has cut services. After the Supreme Court judge, Chief Registrar and 31 others were infected with COVID-19 service has been cut off from Wednesday to Feb 1.

The Supreme Court will now only provide six types of services. Urgent appeals regarding habeas corpus and the COVID-19 outbreak will be heard. A similar case will be heard. There will also be a hearing on the detainee’s petition and report in the criminal case. Other detainees’ cases will also be heard, according to the Supreme Court.

There will also be hearings on appeals that have been set by the government but have not been ordered to withdraw. The court has decided that the process of filing cases, giving hearings and giving other dates will be regular.

Similarly, the Supreme Court has decided to make decisions in the cases of high and district courts, as well as other tribunals, based on the local environment. The Supreme Court has also decided to take turns to work in the courts to prevent unnecessary crowds.
