COVID-19 infections found in almost a quarter of persons tested

KATHMANDU: JAN. 12 – The infection rate of COVID-19 has been reported to be growing in Nepal. On Wednesday, a total of 3,075 people were confirmed to be infected with COVID-19.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 13,036 samples were tested, including PCR and antigen, and 3,075 infections were confirmed. This accounts for 23.5 percent of the test. This is around 7% higher than the previous day.

On Tuesday, COVID-19 infection was confirmed in 16.2 percent of those tested.

On the first day of the week, COVID-19 infection was seen at 9.2 percent on Sunday, but this percentage increased to 12.6 percent on Monday.
