‘Citizenshipless Citizens’ demonstration in Kathmandu [Photos]

KATHMANDU: JAN. 9 – In Kathmandu, a demonstration was held to seek citizenship in the name of a born and single mother. On Sunday, the Citizenshipless Citizens’ Struggle Committee of Nawalparasi held a protest in Maitighar.

They have accused the government has made them stateless by denying citizenship. They also asked that parliament enact the new citizenship statute right away. With chants, the demonstration began in Maitighar and ended in Baneshwor.
