Free health camp of KMC at Charikot, Dolakha
DOLAKHA: JAN. 7 – Kathmandu Medical College in Sinamangal, Kathmandu, has organized a free health clinic in Charikot, Dolakha. The two-day camp was organized in partnership with Bhimeshwor Municipality-8 and Satyagraha Weekly.
On the first day of the camp, Thursday, 1,013 people were given free health check-ups.
According to KMC general manager Narayan Dahal, 227 persons had blood tests, 217 had video X-rays, and 192 had heart tests (ECG).
A team of specialist doctors from KMC examined the patient’s health. According to the organizers, 64 patients who were unable to be treated at the camp were referred to a hospital for surgery.
On Tuesday, KMC held a free health camp in Chaukot, Kavre, and treated 1,165 people for free. Even before this, KMC has been treating patients by holding free camps in several districts.
