Earthquake shakes Far-Western

BAITADI: DEC. 30 – The quake was felt at hilly districts of the Far-Western region including Baitadi.

The quake, which struck at 12:53 midnight, shook Baitadi, Darchula, and other regions.

According to Rajesh Sharma, technical assistant at the Earthquake Measurement Center in Surkhet, the 4.6 magnitude earthquake’s epicenter was in India. The epicenter was reported to be located under the Khada plateau in the Indian state of Uttarakhand.

According to the police, no information on the quake’s damage has been received.
