Solukhumbu is snow-covered [Photos]

SOLUKHUMBU: DEC. 29 – Solukhumbu’s high mountainous district is snow-covered. Most of the year, it snows, and it snows as soon as it starts raining. After the snowfall, Pikey Danda, Ratnange Danda, Beni and Salleri, the district headquarters, are white with snow.

Similarly, the Annapurna mountain range, which can be viewed from here, is snow-covered. After the snowfall, domestic tourists go out to play in the snow. Snowfall has also fallen in Solukhumbu, Kalinchok of Dolakha, Daman of Makwanpur, Kakani of Nuwakot and Chandragiri of Kathmandu.

The Meteorological Department forecasts partial to moderate cloud cover and snowfall till next Friday.
