U-19 Asia Cup: Sri Lanka’s huge target of 323 runs to Nepal

KATHMANDU: DEC. 26 – In the ACC U-19 Asia Cup Cricket, Sri Lanka set a high target of 323 runs for Nepal. Sri Lanka, who won the toss and elected to bat first at the Sharjah Cricket Ground in the UAE, lost 4 wickets in 50 overs and scored 322 runs to give Nepal a target of 323 runs.

Sri Lanka’s Sadisa Rajapaksa scored 131 and Chamindu Wickramasinghe 111 runs. Mohammad Adil Alam of Nepal took 2 wickets and Bivek Yadav and Dev Khanal took 1 wicket each.

In today’s match, Nepal has given a chance to Sher Malla and Basanta Karki to replace Durgesh Gupta and Arjun Kumal.

Nepal, which was defeated by Bangladesh by 154 runs in the first match, is aiming for its first win today. Nepal is bottom of Group B, with no points, while Sri Lanka is second with two points.

Nepal has not won a match against Sri Lanka in the recent five years. Both groups’ top two teams will proceed to the semifinals.
