From today, students in 57 districts will be vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus (with list)

KATHMANDU: DEC. 19 – The government is vaccinating students between the ages of 12 and 17 against the coronavirus in 57 districts from today. Ministry of Health and Population spokesperson Dr. Sangeeta Kaushal Mishra informed that the first dose of Moderna vaccine will be given to students in the age group of 12-17 years till December 29.

According to her, students of Taplejung, Sankhuwasabha, Okhaldhunga, Khotang, Bhojpur, Dhankuta, Terhathum, Panchthar, Ilam and Udaipur of State 1 and Siraha, Mahottari, Sarlahi, Rautahat and Bara districts of State 2 will be vaccinated.

Similarly, Dolakha, Sindhupalchok, Rasuwa, Dhading, Nuwakot, Ramechhap and Makwanpur of Bagmati, Gorkha, Manang, Mustang, Myagdi, Lamjung, Tanahun, Nawalparasi East, Syangja and Parbat, Rukumpur, Lumbini, Rukum East, Rolpa There are Arghakhanchi, Palpa, Nawalparasi West, Kapilbastu and Bardiya.

Similarly, students of Dolpa, Mugu, Humla, Jumla, Kalikot, Dailekh, Jajarkot, Rukum West and Salyan districts of Karnali and Bajura, Bajhang, Darchula, Baitadi, Doti, Achham and Kanchanpur districts of the far west will be vaccinated. The second dose will be given to the students of those districts from January 16 to 26.

Similarly, the ministry has informed that Pfizer vaccination will be given on the same occasion in 19 districts including Sindhuli and 20 districts where Pfizer vaccination campaign has been conducted for chronic patients above 12 years of age.

Similarly, the ministry is giving the first dose of Pfizer vaccine to the children of Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur, Kavrepalanchok, Chitwan, Sindhuli, Dadeldhura and Surkhet from Dec. 28 to Jan 6. The ministry has stated that the second dose will be applied in those districts from January 18 to 27.
