1.5 million doses of Moderna vaccination are due to come in Nepal today
KATHMANDU: DEC. 9 – On Thursday, about 1.5 million Moderna coronavirus vaccinations acquired through the COVAX facility will arrive in Nepal. Dr. Badebabu Thapa, senior pharmacy officer of the health service department’s supply section, stated that 1.497 million doses of Moderna vaccinations will be available tomorrow.
Earlier, one lakh 88 thousand four hundred doses of Moderna vaccines was brought to Nepal on last Friday. The Ministry of Health and Population has stated that the Moderna vaccines will be given to children under 18 years of age.
A total of 192,85,197 doses of vaccine have been administered in Nepal since the inception of the vaccination campaign. Out of which, One crore five lakh four thousand 764 people have been vaccinated with the first dose and 87,80,433 people have been fully vaccinated, according to the Ministry of Health.
