Bangladesh defeated by Pakistan in the first Test

KATHMANDU: NOV. 30 – Neighboring Pakistan beat Bangladesh to win the first Test of the series. Pakistan won the first match of the two-match Test series by eight wickets. With the victory, Pakistan has taken a 1-0 lead.

Bangladesh took the lead in the first innings but failed to perform well in the second innings. Pakistan completed the target of 202 runs by losing only 2 wickets.

Earlier, Bangladesh had scored 330 runs in the first innings while Pakistan were all out for 286 runs. But in the second innings, Bangladesh could not keep pace and were reduced to 157 runs. Pakistan’s Shaheen Shah Afridi took 5 wickets to wrap Bangladesh up cheaply.

Overall, Pakistan’s Aadil Ali performed sensationally to meet the 202 targets. Aadil scored 133 runs in the first innings and scored 91 runs in the second innings. Abdullah Shafique added 73 runs while Azhar Ali (24) and captain Babar Azam (13) remained unbeaten.

In the second innings, none of the Bangladesh batsmen could make a good run. Liton Das, who scored 114 in the first innings, scored 59 in the second innings. Yasir Ali retired injured with 36 runs. Apart from this, no other player was able to freeze at the crease.
