Road accident claims 2 lives, injures 7 in Afghanistan’s central Daykundi province

NILI, AFGHANISTAN: OCT. 13 – Two commuters lost their lives and seven others sustained injuries as a mini-bus plunged into ravine in Miramor district of Afghanistan’s central Daykundi province on Tuesday, Miramor district chief Esmatullah Salehi said Wednesday.

A mini-bus, according to the official, was moving to somewhere in the mountainous Miramor district late Tuesday but the vehicle slid to a ravine, leaving two dead, both women, and injuring seven others including children.

Congested and dusty roads in the mountainous Daykundi province often cause deadly road accidents, the district chief added.
