KATHMANDU: OCT. 12 – Germany has become the first country to qualify for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. Germany, in Group J of the European World Cup qualifiers, secured their place in the World Cup by defeating North Macedonia 4-0 last night.

Werner scored twice in Germany’s wide victory, while Kai Havertz and Jamal Musiala equalized.

In Group J, Germany have secured their place in the World Cup with 21 points, including seven wins and one defeat in eight games. North Macedonia has 12 points from eight games and is third in the table.

Germany has become the first team from Europe to participate in the World Cup with 13 teams. Apart from Germany, host Qatar has been automatically selected for next year’s World Cup in Qatar. Other countries are in the process of being selected.
