POKHARA: SEPT. 23 – CPN (Maoist) General Secretary Netra Bikram Chand Biplav has challenged the parliamentary parties to come to the referendum. Stating that the parliamentary system has lost its way, he reiterated the need to bring a socialist system through a referendum.

He has warned that the MCC will not be allowed to pass under any circumstances. “The United States wants to make a big profit out of Nepal’s wealth,” he said. The 22nd National Conference of Akhil Krantikari, a student organization of the CPN (Maoist) has started in Pokhara on Wednesday. The conference will elect new leadership and a new education system will be proposed, the party said.
