POKHARA: SEPT. 23 – CPN (Maoist) General Secretary Netra Bikram Chand Biplav has challenged the parliamentary parties to come to the referendum. Stating that the parliamentary system has lost its way, he reiterated the need to bring a socialist system through a referendum.

“We are carrying the future of the country. We don’t earn a living. Do some friends win you over? Let’s ensure a referendum in Nepal, we will win. I say without losing even one per cent, we will win. It is the wish of the Nepali people, ”he said.

He says the current parliamentary system has failed. “It simply came to our notice then. We said already in 2073, ‘he said,’ no one listened then. But the state did not run, the government did not run, the leaders did not run, the party did not run. ‘ “The state has not left power. ‘The boss comes home with dollars. He comes home carrying a stick. The owner of the house comes with a gun, ‘he said,’ so-called leaders of our party stand in front of them holding their ears. ‘

Biplav accused the government of manipulating the three-point agreement with the government. “We agree with that, we will implement it. We go to the people to have peaceful ideas. But if we don’t implement that, another condition is heaped on us and if we try to lay siege to release our prison friends, we will break that siege, ‘he said indignantly.

He has warned that the MCC will not be allowed to pass under any circumstances. “The United States wants to make a big profit out of Nepal’s wealth,” he said. It is the policy of the imperialists to weaken and loot the country and the parties, ‘says Biplob.’ They are carrying dollars in the name of MCC. At the same time, the teeth of American imperialism are entering here from within. He said that the previous agreements had proved to be against the interest of the nation and urged the government to learn from them and return to the MCC.

The 22nd National Conference of Akhil Krantikari, a student organization of the CPN (Maoist) has started in Pokhara on Wednesday. The conference will elect new leadership and a new education system will be proposed, the party said.
