3 members of the same family died after falling into an electric trap set for wild boar

KATHMANDU: SEPT. 18 – Three people have died in Bardiya after being electrocuted to kill boar. One person was electrocuted at around 10 last night and two others died while being rescued.

According to Area Police Office, Bhurigaun, Inspector Kabiraj Rokaya, all the deceased belong to the same family. The deceased have been identified as Bal Krishna Tharu, 32, his wife Sunita Tharu, 29, and his brother-in-law Belmati Tharu, 43, of Thakur Baba Municipality-3.

Police have arrested 83-year-old Raj Bahadur Shahi for setting a trap. Police Inspector Rokaya said that further investigation is underway into the incident.
