A pig statue built at a cost of Rs 6 million

UDAYAPUR: AUGUST 7 – The Belaka Municipality of Udayapur has built a pig statue at a cost of Rs 6 million. A 12-foot-tall and 16-foot-long pig statue has been erected in Mainamaini Mulgaun, Ward No. 7 of the municipality.

Mayor Durga Kumar Thapa informed that Rs. 6 million was spent to make the statue. ‘This statue was made by the municipality itself. We are preparing to inaugurate it by Dashain, “he said.” We will also build a religious park there.

According to him, the statue was designed by the National Intelligence Foundation. Dhanu Yakha is making this statue. It is said that preparations are underway to inaugurate the statue by Dashain.

After the country went into federalism and local government was formed, idols of various things have been erected in different parts of the country according to the characteristics of the place.
