Corona’s vaccine reached across the Himalayas

POKHARA: JULY 26 – The vaccine against corona has reached the Mustang district. Vaccination has been carried out to reach all the target groups. Vaccines have been sent to Manang and Mustang of Gandaki.

MP Indradhara Bista informed that the vaccine has been introduced in the district amid a high risk of floods and landslides. According to him, the vaccine has been distributed to all in the district due to all-around pressure.

After pressure from all quarters, the vaccine has been sent to reach all the citizens.” The vaccination program was postponed even though it was taken a week ago due to a lack of full vaccination.

For the Mustang alone, 6,500 doses have been provided by Johnson & Johnson Company. The vaccination program has been running smoothly since Sunday.

Lomanthang, which shares a border with China, has been provided 1,050 doses and Loghekar Damodarkund village has been given 900 doses.

Varagung Muktichhetra, Gharapjhong and Thasang Gapa have been vaccinated by the same company at the rate of 1,200 doses. Only one dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine is needed. The vaccine currently available is sufficient for 90 per cent of the population. Earlier, front-liners were also vaccinated with Covishield in Mustang.
