Internal Tourism Promotion Scheme brought by Global IME Bank

KATHMANDU: JULY 23 – The bank has stated that the employees working in Global IME have to take leave for at least 7 days in order to visit the internal tourist destination.

The bank said it had come up with the plan in view of the current situation where the influx of foreign tourists has been reduced due to the COVID-19 epidemic.

The bank has stated that there is an urgent need for domestic tourists to revive the tourism sector which has been completely affected due to the epidemic of COVID-19.

In order to help in the promotion of domestic tourism, even in such a situation, the employees who take annual paid leave must visit the bank, the bank said. The bank currently has more than 3,000 employees.

Global IME Bank, which has a network of branches across the country and abroad, aims to provide access to banking services from more than 800 service centres including 273 branches, 248 ATMs, 257 branchless banking services, 47 extension and revenue collection counters and 3 foreign representative offices in 7 states and 76 districts. It is stated that it is providing service to the customers.

Similarly, the Bank has made a significant contribution to the country’s economy by bringing in remittances from the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, Malaysia, South Korea, Japan, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, India, Jordan, Hong Kong and other countries.
