Agreement between Rastriya Banijya Bank and UNDP Nepal

KATHMANDU: JULY 16 – Rastriya Banijya Bank Limited and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) Nepal have reached an agreement to pay the amount to the marginalized households under the effort program.

The agreement was signed by Kiran Kumar Shrestha, Chief Executive Officer of the Bank, and Aisani Meda Gangoda Lab, Resident Representative of UNDP Nepal.

Following the agreement, the bank will pay the amount provided by UNDP to the marginalized households identified under UNDP’s effort program through bank accounts.

Speaking on the occasion, Chief Executive Officer of the Bank, Kiran Kumar Shrestha, said that the bank could provide concessional loans to needy entrepreneurs who want to start their own business.

UNDP Nepal’s Resident Representative Aisani Meda Gangoda Lab said that for the first time, 2,500 households in Bajura, Kailali, Siraha, Saptari, Rautahat, and Syangja districts would be provided with financial assistance under the UNDP’s Efforts Program to help them earn a living.
