5.0-magnitude quake hits off Tonga

NUKU’ALOFA: JULY 9 – An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.0 jolted 70 km E of Hihifo, Tonga at 0947 GMT on Friday, the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 10.0 km, was initially determined to be at 15.9937 degrees south latitude and 173.1384 degrees west longitude.
