Heavy rainfall in these terrain, risk in Sauraha
KATHMANDU: JULY 2 – Currently, there is heavy rain across the country due to the active effect of monsoon winds. According to the Water and Weather Forecast Division, currently, it is raining in many places of State No. 1, 2, Bagmati, and Gandaki.
In the afternoon, light to moderate rain is expected in State 1, State 2, Bagmati State, Lumbini State, and Gandaki State as well as a few places in Karnali and Far Western State. There is a possibility of heavy rain with thunder and lightning in some places of State 1, State 2, Bagmati, and Gandaki and very heavy rain in one or two places.
Meanwhile, the eastern Rapti River in Makwanpur has been flooded due to overnight rains. The Flood Forecast Division said that the risk of flooding in the area around Sauraha in Chitwan has increased due to the flood in the Eastern Rapti River.

There is a risk of flooding in Sauraha as the water level in the eastern Rapti River Measurement Center at Makawanpur has reached the alert level. The flood information has also urged to be vigilant in the riverbank area and around Sauraha of Chitwan due to the floods.
